Chloe

Head to heels, Chloe now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

Speed up your metabolism

Food for thought---

fish, dark green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, blueberries and other fruits, whole grains, and at least 8 glasses of water a day-- all help increase your metabolism.

Fruit

apples, blueberries, watermelon, grapefruit, lemons, limes, oranges, tangerines and more

Vegetables

Carrots, broccoli, cabbage, asparagus, beet roots

Here are ideas about the foodstuff that you should consume in order to boost your metabolism level:

It is advisable to consume more of proteins, as it takes a longer time to break up protein food for digestion, meaning that you will be able to burn more calories. In fact all your meals should contain some form of protein food.
Calcium intake is of prime importance, as it helps in speeding up basal metabolism. But you should prefer consuming calcium through foods, rather than going in for calcium-based supplements. Milk is one of the richest sources of calcium, so make milk drinking an integral part of your routine.

Eating fiber food is very advantageous, as its mechanism is the same as that of protein food. Fiber food helps in burning more calories, thus makes losing weight easier and faster. Eat loads of beans, fresh fruits and vegetables and whole-grain breads.

Instead of going in for black tea or other kinds of teas available in the market, it is recommended to drink green tea, as it increases your basal metabolism and also contains less caffeine.

You should never even think of skipping your breakfast, which most people tend to do so. People who tend to ignore this meal end up snacking on unhealthy foodstuff.
It's very necessary to drink water at frequent intervals, because it is water that helps in digestion of food. So, drink plenty of water, at least 8 to 10 glasses per day

12 Foods that increase your metabolism:

Almonds and Other Nuts
• Beans and Other Legumes
• Spinach and Other Green Vegetables
• Dairy Products
• Instant Oatmeal
• Eggs
• Turkey and Other Lean Meats
• Peanut Butter

Lemon-- Healing power for Flu and Colds

Cold and Flu Got You Blue?

When you have a cold, the healing power of lemons works both internally, by supplying urgently required vitamin C to your defense cells, and externally, through the application of its antiviral properties to the virus on the mucous membranes in the nose and throat.

At the first indication of a cold – a runny nose or sore throat –try to give your body as much immune-boosting vitamin C as you can so that the virus is eliminated before it gets a chance to take hold. Drink the freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon in a glass of lukewarm water every 2 hours.

If you have a sore throat, add the juice of 1 lemon and 1 teaspoon (5ml) of sea salt to 1 cup (250ml) lukewarm water. Gargle three times a day for 1 minute to diminish the burning sensation. If it’s a case of tonsillitis, gargle every 2 hours for at least 30 seconds with the freshly squeezed juice of 1 lemon. Tilt the head back to allow the antibacterial and antiviral properties of the juice to flow into the back of the throat. You can swallow the juice when you have finished gargling thereby benefiting from an immune-boosting vitamin C shot.
